Volunteer to serve as the laboratories assistant director on the Continuing Education Committee

The ACVS Board of Regents invites applications from Diplomates interested in serving as the laboratories assistant director on the Continuing Education Committee (CEC). This position receives an annual stipend and other volunteer benefits.

The laboratories assistant director works in conjunction with the continuing education (CE) senior leadership team, consisting of the CE director, staff learning programs director, and three additional CE assistant directors, to direct the CEC’s development of CE content and to ensure that it aligns with established strategic objectives.

The laboratories assistant director is appointed by the Board of Regents, reports to the CE director, and works closely with the ACVS continuing education staff. The incoming assistant director will shadow the current assistant director from July through October 2024. The anticipated start date of the position’s five-year term is November 1, 2024. The appointed candidate is required to participate in the CEC summer Zoom meeting currently scheduled for July 2024 and the 2024 ACVS Surgery Summit in Phoenix, AZ.
