Veterinary Surgery’s last call for papers and proposals: deadline September 30

Call for papers on the topic of  surgical approaches to thoracic pathology

A Veterinary Surgery virtual issue on surgical approaches to thoracic pathology is planned for April 2027.

Areas of interest related to thoracic pathology include advances in surgical techniques, biomechanics, clinical diagnostics, diagnostic imaging, genetics, kinematics, morbidity/mortality, pathophysiology, prevention, rehabilitation, surgical anatomy, surgical instrumentation, and tissue engineering.

For consideration, manuscripts must be submitted online by September 30, 2026. When submitting, indicate that the manuscript is intended for a special issue: “Surgical Approaches to Thoracic Pathology.”


Call for proposals for ACVS, ECVS, or ACVS-ECVS consensus statements

Veterinary Surgery editors will consider proposals for consensus statements that are thoughtfully crafted to provide the veterinary community with up-to-date information on the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of clinically important animal diseases and health conditions. Proposals must meet the criteria outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Proposals submitted online by September 30, 2026, will be reviewed during the annual editors’ meeting in October.
