The ACVS Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee has created guidelines for ACVS Diplomates who are writing reference letters for residency candidates. When writing reference letters for an excellent candidate, bias can inadvertently be included that can diminish the positive impact of the letter. Guidelines for avoiding bias are available in the ACVS Resource Library.
