Honored Mentor
Susan L. Fubini
DVM, DACVS
It’s hard to express what this award means to me. It is such an honor to be recognized by those I've trained. But the truth is, and I am sure you will agree, I have learned more from them then they glean from me. They are compassionate caring surgeons in-the-making, intelligent, innovative, but also careful, every step pains-taking.
- Susan L. Fubini, DVM, DACVS
So thank you to “my” residents for all you have taught me every year. I am so lucky to have worked with you and I hold your friendship dear.
Dr. Fubini set the gold standard for patient care. That sounds like a simple statement but it includes a complex assortment of dynamic interactions with clients, clinical cases, students, staff, literature awareness, past experiences, etc. at all times of the day and night, regardless of how much time has passed working without a break. She never never cut any corners. She always gave her best and inspired all working with her to do the same. She was everyone’s big sister taking care of many interns and residents from many programs. She is a best friend.
