Looking back over my years of involvement with surgical residents, I marvel at the quality of those who risked their futures to accept the invitation to train. We learned and grew together, becoming lifelong friends. Their success is a credit to the character and intellect of each as they have uniformly succeeded as surgeons and colleagues.
