Dr. Breur is a mentor who not only taught us how to be good surgeons, but made us part of his family and mentored us on so many levels beyond veterinary surgery. He taught us to question, to debate, and to justify. His enthusiasm and curiosity for veterinary medicine, but particularly for life in general, is why we look up to him. The example he has set is one we continue to emulate, even a decade after residency.
