Dr. Yvonne Elce ended her term as director of the ACVS Examination Committee (EC) in September 2025. Dr. Alison Morton was appointed as the new director.
Dr. Elce was the first committee director, bringing experience from two terms on the EC during the transition to the two-phase examination. Through Dr. Elce’s collaboration and leadership, the EC is better positioned to meet ongoing and strategic priorities.
Dr. Morton comes to the position with experience on the EC when the Phase I examination was introduced and, more recently, the Job Analysis Committee. Dr. Morton has served as an advisor to multiple veterinary surgery residents. Additionally, Dr. Morton served on the Examination Committee of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
