Diplomates: share photographs with ACVS

ACVS is committed to portraying Diplomates accurately and appropriately in promotional material for ACVS events, across ACVS digital assets, and in communication intended to raise awareness of the veterinary surgery specialty among animal owners.

Diplomates are encouraged to share their best photos taken at their practice or institution. Photos captured on traditional and cell phone cameras are welcome.

 What is ACVS asking for?

  • High resolution is very important; if using a cell phone, change the camera setting format to “most compatible.”
  • Photos of veterinary surgeons
    • examining small or large animals. If owners are present, please ask for permission to share photo.
    • operating on small or large animals. It is important that they are taken at an angle that features the scene and the surgeons with instruments, but without the surgical site in full view.
    • consulting with each other and with technicians and office staff.
    • during stable or farm visits.
    • close-up photos of surgical trays and frequently used surgical equipment.

When ACVS can include an attribution, we will do so as requested. Send photographs and attribution, if desired, to acvs@acvs.org.
