The loss of a beloved animal is difficult for everyone. A personalized memorial card to the animal owner can show just how much you understand and empathize with the loss. The ACVS Foundation’s Pet and Equine Memorial Program provides an ACVS Diplomate the opportunity to honor the beloved animal by making a monetary donation in the name of the animal.

Supporting Innovative Educational and Research Opportunities!
The mission of the ACVS Foundation is to support the advancement of surgical care of all animals. As an independently-chartered nonprofit philanthropic organization, the ACVS Foundation is devoted to the advancement of surgical care of all animals through funding of educational and research opportunities for veterinary surgical residents and board certified veterinary surgeons.
The ACVS Foundation funds innovative research proposals to support the advancement of surgical care of all animals. These research projects have resulted in numerous publications in refereed journals and presentations at national and international meetings. The following individuals, practices and companies have each contributed $500 or more on a cumulative basis.*
The ACVS Foundation presents awards for outstanding surgical resident presentations, posters, and publications annually at the ACVS Surgery Summit. This recognition encourages the continued development of clinically important research, particularly that conducted by surgical residents-in-training.
The ACVS Foundation research grant programs consider funding for surgically related clinical and basic research. All applications are submitted online to the ACVS Research Committee, which compiles an evaluative ranking of the applications for the ACVS Board of Regents (BOR). Recommendations for funding are then forwarded to the Foundation. View past research grant recipients.
