2010 Outstanding Surgical Residents’ Awards

At the 2010 ACVS Veterinary Symposium, ACVS residents received awards for publication in Veterinary Surgery and for presentation of scientific research at the Residents’ Forum and in poster format.

ACVS established the Outstanding Surgical Residents’ Awards competition to encourage the development of clinically important research and the dissemination of the results of these investigations, particularly those conducted by surgical residents. Two posters are selected from those presented by residents at the Symposium. Eight oral presentations (two clinical and two research in both large animal and small animal categories) are selected from those given in the Residents’ Forum at the Symposium. Four manuscripts (two clinical, two research) are selected from those published in Veterinary Surgery.

Presentations, publications and posters must represent the original work of the resident. Studies may be prospective or retrospective clinical studies or controlled laboratory research.

Funding for the 2010 Residents’ Awards was provided by the ACVS Foundation.
