ACVS Statement of Support of Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander Communities
March 24, 2021
To all members of the ACVS community,
The American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) stands with the Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander communities and extends our unwavering support to those who are suffering. ACVS is committed to addressing racism, bigotry, and discrimination within our specialty as well as the veterinary profession. As a College, we condemn hatred and bigotry and any acts that contribute to a climate of discrimination and steadfastly embrace and support all our members' differences and lived experiences and the communities we serve. We stand with all those affected by this violence. ACVS is dedicated to creating a community in which all members feel safe, supported, encouraged, included, valued, and respected. We encourage our members to embrace the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion and provide support to colleagues and the broader community unrested by recent tragic events.
