The collaborative lecture and laboratory course of surgical and dentistry instructors approaches medical and surgical problems in the oral and maxillofacial region in dogs and cats. Surgical principles to new techniques are presented with clinical photographs, advanced imaging, and intraoral radiographs in order to teach step-by-step surgical techniques while respecting the dentition the managing and treating the dentition. Evidence based science and collective cased experience in both academic and private practice is presented to participants. The lecture and laboratory course is directed towards residents and trainees in the AVDC and ACVS and other veterinarians with advanced training and knowledge in the oral cavity.
