Dr. Pettit provided treasured guidance to me during my training, especially when it came to writing and preparing manuscripts! I learned from his technical skills and from his stories and knowledge of the evolution of veterinary surgery. He would walk through campus on his way to and from work. Sometimes, when the weather was bad, he would accept my offer of a ride! I miss him and cherish the memories.
