I have always felt privileged and challenged to be associated with residents in training. If I were to characterize, in a word, what it means to be honored as a mentor, it would be humbled. I am humbled by the thought that my former residents feel that I made a difference. Thank you to them and to ACVS.

Paul A. Manley, DVM, MSc, DACVS

Dr. Manley was a residency advisor and the driving force behind my MS research at the University of Wisconsin from 1985-1988. Then and ever after, he has been my mental image of an exceptional surgeon; compassionate to patients, technically perfect, collegial to residents and colleagues, and an example of excellence to the profession of veterinary orthopedic surgery.
