Although Dr. Haynes was not my surgical training mentor, he was a mentor to so many equine surgery residents and junior faculty. He also was the most influential leadership mentor and role model I’ve ever had. He had such an incredible impact on the lives and careers of so many in the veterinary profession and beyond.
