Being a good soft tissue surgeon means being at your best at all hours of the day and night.  You need to take care of yourself and your team members so that you can approach each new day with enthusiasm.  Keep positive, know where you are going and surround yourself with people who share your passion and values.

Dr. Hardie served as my primary soft tissue mentor and advisor during my first two years of residency. She held me to a high standard, training with her tough love, gentle coaxing, and acknowledgment style. She was the first to congratulate and tell me how proud she was when I successfully passed the ACVS exam after my first attempt.
