Back when he taught large classes, I remember him telling us how he would sometimes design a multiple-choice exam where every answer was the same letter. I also remember him saying that one time he assigned students some reading and then came into the next class to ask if there were "any questions". No one asked any, so he just ended class right away. I think he said there were more questions the next class!
