I was fortunate to have been mentored by Dr. Murray Brown. His quiet faithfulness, equanimity, wisdom, and commitment to antimicrobial stewardship were positive influences on my career. Murray willingly shared clinical experience knowledge and granted opportunities for residents to “take the lead” during difficult surgical procedures.
