Call for Volunteers for Veterinary Surgery Editorial Review Board

ACVS Diplomates interested in serving on the Editorial Review Board, starting October 2020, should complete the fields below. The submission deadline is April 6, 2020.

Responsibilities: Editorial Review Board members are responsible for reviewing manuscripts submitted to Veterinary Surgery, as well as any revisions of the same manuscript. Members are expected to accept assigned manuscripts and complete their reviews in a timely manner, providing useful/constructive feedback to authors.

Committee Meetings: None.

Workload: Moderate to heavy. Approximately 6-8 manuscripts will be assigned for review each year.

Term of Service: 3 years

Positions Available in 2020: 16: 5 large animal, 11 small animal. Editorial Review Board members should have expertise and experience in publishing and/or reviewing manuscripts in topics related to veterinary surgery. We welcome all volunteers, but have particular need for the following areas of expertise: biomechanics, sports medicine/rehabilitation, epidemiology/statistics, implant testing (sutures), pharmacology/toxicology, orthopedic minimally invasive surgery, oncologic surgery, and small animal neurosurgery (including intracranial surgery).
