College Seal and Logos

The College's seal is a modernized version of the seal originally developed by Batvin Kramer.  This seal symbolizes the ancient origin of surgery in animals and humans.  The centaur is Chiron, who was known for his wisdom and justice.  Chiron taught surgery and medicine in his school to such famous pupils as Apollo, Jason and Achilles.

ACVS Seal The logo seal of the ACVS may only be used on official communications and documents of the College. The seal is a registered mark of the ACVS and may not be used by any other entity without the expressed permission of the ACVS.
ACVS Logos The horizontal and vertical logos of the ACVS may only be used by the College. The logos are registered marks of the ACVS and may not be used by any other entity without the expressed permission of the College.
ACVS Veterinary Surgeon Logo Diplomates may use a specially designed ACVS Veterinary Surgeon logo on their practice and professional stationery, business cards and advertisements. This logo may only be used by ACVS Diplomates.  The logo is a registered mark of the ACVS and may be used only in accordance with the Authorized Uses of the ACVS Veterinary Surgeon Logo. The ACVS Veterinary Surgeon logo and guidelines for its use are available to all Diplomates.
