We are very pleased and excited to announce the launching of the ACVS online discussion forums. They are intended to provide an effective and active vehicle for member communications regarding professional interests, including matters of veterinary surgery, practice management, residency training, surgical research and teaching. Online forums are a convenient way to share information, and to ask and answer questions.
The forums are located at
www.acvs.org/forums.
You must login to the website with the user account assigned to you by ACVS. If you do not know your login and password for the ACVS website, please email Jeff Melia at jmelia@acvs.org.

Wade O. Brinker, DVM, MS, and a founding member of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS), passed away on August 7, 2008. Dr. Brinker was the last surviving member of the College's organizing committee. Dr. Brinker was President of the College in 1968 and received The Founders' Award for Career Achievement in 2005.
A past ACVS president noted, “I remember Dr. Brinker as a kindly man, totally unprepossessing, despite the giant contributions he made to his discipline and his profession. We should all aspire to leave such a legacy.”
