The Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, located in the historic Woodley Park district of Washington, D.C., is the official meeting hotel for the 2009 ACVS Veterinary Symposium. This landmark hotel features deluxe accommodations, a variety of in-house restaurant options, and a fitness center. Be sure to request the American College of Veterinary Surgeons Group Rate when making reservations. Technicians' Program Thursday-Saturday, October 8-10 Registration Required
This year's technicians' program is loaded with helpful information. Three days are dedicated to rehabilitation for surgical patients, anesthetic protocols for various species, multiple surgival situations from "diagnosis to discharge," and many other compelling topics.
Featured this year is a technicians' laboratory on analgesic and anesthetic techniques, "The Pain Stops Here: Regional Analgesic Techniques," on Wednesday afternoon, preceeding the Symposium seminars and scientific sessions. This five-hour wet-laboratory includes a two-hour lecture and allows registrants the opportunity to perform a variety of regional analgesic techniques.

2009 Veterinary Career & Recruiting Fair Thursday, October 8, 12:00-8:30pm
ACVS is pleased to offer the Veterinary Career & Recruiting Fair, a recruiting opportunity held in conjunction with the ACVS Veterinary Symposium, in Washington, DC. The Career & Recruiting Fair provides an informal venue for Symposium attendees to meet with both small and large animal practices, institutions and corporations that are looking for veterinary surgeons, technicians and interns.
The Career & Recruiting Fair has been expanded based on feedback ACVS received from last year’s participants and attendees and includes several changes we think you will appeciate!
