Surgical Procedures Lists Updates (December 2009)
Previously announced changes to the surgical procedures lists in the Resident Training Log have been implemented. These changes include:
- addition of the Minimally Invasive Surgery core curriculum category for all small animal residents whose programs started July 1, 2009 or later
- additional procedures in the Small Animal Curriculum (applies to all small animal residents)
- restructuring of the Abdominal, Fracture Fixation and Urogenital core curriculum categories in the Large Animal Curricula
- additional procedures in the Large Animal Curricula (changes apply to both LA - General and LA - Equine programs)
Large Animal Residents:

Note, procedure lists are the same for Large Animal - General and Large Animal - Equine programs. Only the numbers of required cases in the core curriculum categories are different.
