Relief Surgeon
Eastern Iowa Veterinary Speciality Center - Cedar Rapids, IA 

Eastern Iowa Veterinary Specialty Center is a 24-hour specialty and emergency hospital. We are looking for a board certified surgeon to provide surgical services while our full time surgeon is on maternity leave from July through September 2010. We would like to continue surgical services on a weekly basis if possible so two days per week would be ideal but we are interested in exploring other options as well.

Our current surgical equipment includes: multiple fracture fixation systems (bone plating, SK external fixater, interlocking nail), multiple cruciate repair options (TPLO, TightRope, lateral suture stabilization with crimp clamps), nitrogen powered 3M & Hall power equipment. We also have mechanical ventilators, video endoscopy, ALOKA SSD-1400 Ultrasound and 24-hour Critical Care monitoring and a fully equipped ICU and diagnostic laboratory,
