Equine Dental Lab

Colorado State University is offering a Dental Lab.

Join us for a day of equine dentistry!  Following a review of equine anatomy, you will be able to see, touch, and hold various pieces and brands of equine dental instrumentation while discovering which one will be appropriate for the level and quantity of dentistry you will be practicing.  The morning will end with a frank discussion around business practices that will help you to increase dentistry as a profit center in your business.  During lunch we’d like to hear about your experiences with dental sedation and find out how important procedural analgesia is to you.  

The afternoon session will be a ‘hands on“ laboratory using equipment and sedation that was talked about it the morning session. Participants will be divided into 3 groups for dental work on 3 live horses restrained in stocks. Participants will be able to perform an oral exam on each horse and appropriate dental work under the observation and guidance of Dr. Marx.
