| | Focus on the Equine Spine: Thoracolumbar Region

This 5-day course teaches the principles of detailed thoracolumbar spinal evaluation and focuses on an integrative and evidence-based approach to treating spinal disorders in horses. Topics include functional spinal anatomy, pathology, physical examination, gait analysis, diagnostic imaging, local anesthesia, and medical and surgical management of back problems. The course will present a balance of clinical experience and review of relevant spinal research. Theoretical and practical information will be provided in morning lecture and afternoon laboratory settings.
