ACVS Has a Permanent Home

March 28, 2011 marked the third anniversary of ACVS in the Germantown, MD office condominium. It has been a very exciting time and the space is remarkable and worth every square foot! To date, the ACVS Board of Regents, the Symposium Committee and the ACVS Foundation Board of Trustees have all had at least one meeting in the Past Presidents’ Conference Room. You are welcome and invited to visit the office, anytime you are in the area, to enjoy a staff-guided tour of our space.

The ACVS Foundation decided to name the conference room the Past Presidents’ Conference Room to pay tribute to those persons who have helped lead ACVS in being the recognized leader in veterinary surgery to all constituencies.

The ACVS Foundation is still seeking support of this $100,000 naming opportunity. Perhaps a past president mentored or guided your career, allowing you to excel in veterinary surgery. If so, take this occasion to show your appreciation with a tribute donation. If the past president that made the difference in your life has passed away; consider making a gift in memory of this special person. LEAVE A LEGACY: In 2008, the ACVS Foundation Board of Trustees initiated a campaign offering opportunities to “leave legacies” in the new space, with naming opportunities of staff offices.  All ten of the ACVS offices have now been named. By naming one of the offices each donor recognized, honored or memorialized an individual, a group, a practice or family in ACVS’ permanent home, while providing financial support for the build-out and furnishings of the office.

ACVS Foundation honors contributors with the Donor Recognition Wall: Because there are limited opportunities available in the office, the Board of Trustees created a donor recognition wall that will be prominently displayed in the office for all individuals who give $500 or more to the new office. Your gift will be recognized with your name on an artistic donor wall in the reception area of our suite.
