Pet and Equine Memorial Programs
The ACVS Foundation offers an opportunity to help ease the suffering of your clients, while letting them know that not only did they put their animal in skilled hands, but in caring ones as well!
The Pet and Equine Memorial Programs enhance relationships with your clients and referring veterinarians, both of which are important to maintaining a quality surgical practice. Memorial donations are an ideal way for practices and individuals to support the College and to truly be a part of its success and continued excellence.
When you choose to make a monetary donation to memorialize a patient, the ACVS Foundation office will send out a memorial card to your client within 5 business days of receiving your donation. The correspondence will never show the amount of your donation. If the patient was referred to you, at your discretion, the office will also notify the referring veterinarian of your donation.
You will receive a thank you email from the ACVS Foundation noting the date and the amount of your tax-deductible donation for your records.
Donations for the Pet and Equine Memorial Programs can be made online!
Individual Memorial and Tribute ProgramHonor the memory of or pay tribute to a loved one, family member or mentor with a gift in their name to the ACVS Foundation. A donation to the ACVS Foundation is a perfect means to celebrate a life of accomplishment, and it’s a great way to make a difference in the field of veterinary surgery. Make a memorial donation or pay tribute to a person online.
Past Presidents' Conference RoomIn 2008, the ACVS Foundation Board of Trustees initiated a campaign offering opportunities to “leave legacies” in the new space, with naming opportunities for the Past Presidents’ Conference Room.
The ACVS Foundation decided to name the conference area the Past Presidents’ Conference Room to pay tribute to those persons who have helped lead ACVS in being the recognized leader in veterinary surgery to all constituencies. The ACVS Board of Regents, the Symposium Committee and the ACVS Foundation Board of Trustees’ have all had at least one meeting in the Past Presidents’ Conference Room so far.
The ACVS Foundation is seeking support of this $100,000 naming opportunity. Perhaps a past president mentored or guided your career, allowing you to excel in veterinary surgery. If so, take this occasion to show your appreciation with a tribute donation. If the past president that made the difference in your life has passed away; consider making a gift in memory of this special person. This landmark opportunity allows you to demonstrate a lasting commitment to the work of ACVS and its Foundation.
