Understanding Contracts and Compensation - The Basics Every Diplomate Should Know

Ideal for new Diplomates and those individuals who are finishing or have recently finished their residency program, this session will provide educational support to the future leaders of the College with information and terminology to better understand new employment contracts and topics that are important to discuss with prospective employers.  Pre-registration required. Open to all registrants.

    The Symposium Career Fair 

    CV Central, the Symposium Career Fair, held in conjunction with the 2010 ACVS Veterinary Symposium, Seattle, WA, provides an informal venue for Symposium attendees to meet with both small and large animal practices, institutions and industry that are looking for ACVS board-certified veterinary surgeons, residents, interns, students, technicians, practice managers and more.

    Resident Workshops 

    The ACVS Foundation is proud to present large and small animal full-day workshops led by ACVS Diplomates and designed to provide valuable information for surgery residents.  The large animal workshop will entail surgical resident training in four categories: upper respiratory, gastrointestinal, orthopedic and urogenital. The small animal workshop will include in-depth reviews in the areas of bone development and developmental pathology, neurodiagnosis and neurosurgery, and urinary tract disease and surgery, as well as a review of diagnostic imaging in surgical abdominal and thoracic disease.  Registration is required and is limited to current ACVS and ECVS residents.
